Five things, done properly, with a lifetime workmanship warranty on every installation.
Full replacement with OEM-quality glass, new moldings and fresh urethane — then a specific safe drive-away time, not a vague “wait a bit”.
Windshield replacement →A chip smaller than a quarter and out of your sightline is usually a 30-minute resin fill, not a new windshield. Often free with comprehensive cover.
Chip & crack repair →Any pane on the car: quarter lights, vent glass, sunroof panels and back glass, matched to your year, make and model before you drive over.
Auto glass replacement →Break-ins are what most South Philly drivers call about. Tempered glass shatters into thousands of pieces — we fit the new pane and vacuum out every one.
Side & rear windows →If the car is not safe to drive, we come to it — your street, your work lot, anywhere from Point Breeze to Packer Park. Same glass, same warranty.
Mobile service →You hear a number on the phone and that is what you pay. Nothing gets added while the car is in the bay.
Call in the morning and the common windshields are on the shelf. Anything unusual is sourced same day rather than next week.
Leaks, wind noise or trim trouble from our install are fixed free for as long as you own the vehicle.
After a break-in, every shard comes out — seats, carpet, door cards and the channel under the window.
Year, make, model and the VIN if you have it — or use the instant quote. Mention a rain sensor or heated wiper park; it changes the glass.

We fit it, give you the real safe drive-away time, vacuum the car out, and back the work for as long as you own it.
Russell’s sits on Snyder Avenue in the middle of South Philadelphia, a few blocks off Passyunk and a short run from the Schuylkill. That location decides a lot about how the work goes: most of our customers walk in or drive over rather than book a week out, and a good number arrive the morning after a window went in overnight.
South Philly is hard on glass. The block paving and the trolley tracks shake a chip into a crack faster than smooth road does, the Platt Bridge approach throws stones off trucks, and street parking on a narrow one-way street is where most side windows get broken. None of that is unusual to us — it is most of what comes through the door.
So the shop runs simple. You get a price before the work starts, the glass is matched to the car before you make the trip, and the interior is vacuumed before you get the keys back. If a chip can be filled instead of replaced, we will say so, because a $0 insurance repair keeps people coming back better than an unnecessary windshield does.

“They were able to install a new drivers side rear window for me the same day I called, when all the other shops were saying it could take a few days. They did a wonderful job and even cleaned up all the glass that was in my car (even folded a blanket I had in there that got glass on it) from my window being busted in.”
“Clearly a community place. Really nice and responsive. Fixed my windshield by far for the cheapest price. The initial install was bad and I had leaking… so I went back again and they installed another new windshield! Very glad they remedied the mistake and saved me some money.”
“Russell’s Auto Repair repaired my rear window amazingly. I came to them during the evening, other glass repair shops told me no because it’s too late. I never write reviews, however Russell’s A.R saved my day at the very last minute. They were fast and professional.”

Usually yes. With comprehensive coverage, glass claims are often fully covered — many chip repairs cost $0 out of pocket. We bill your insurer directly and handle the paperwork, so most Philadelphia drivers never touch a form.
Plan on about an hour of work plus the adhesive's safe drive-away time. Call in the morning and you're almost always back on the road the same day.
Often, yes. If the chip is smaller than a quarter and not in the driver's direct sightline, a 30-minute resin injection stops it spreading — a fraction of the cost of new glass, and often free with insurance. Don't wait: one pothole on Passyunk Avenue can turn a chip into a full crack.
OEM-quality glass that meets or exceeds federal safety standards (FMVSS), with new moldings and primer — never reused seals. If you prefer dealer OEM glass we can source that too; we'll quote both.
